Orange Almond Waffles with Cranberry Syrup

Ingredients

1 and 1/4 cup brown rice flour (or whole wheat flour if not GF)

1/4 cup almond meal

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup orange juice + 3 tablespoons orange zest (juice/zest of 2 large oranges)

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

1 tablespoon honey

Cranberry Syrup

1 cup fresh cranberries

1 cup maple syrup
