Lightened Up Fish Tacos

Ingredients

Ingredients for the fish

15oz sturdy whitefish (I used wild cod), cut into 1/2"x3" strips

3-4 Tablespoons olive or another healthy oil

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

Pinch of red pepper flakes

Pinch of salt

Pinch of allspice

Ingredients for the slaw

2 1/2 cups thinly sliced green cabbage

1 1/2 cup shredded carrots

1/2 cup fresh, washed cilantro (packed), roughly chopped

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice

Generous pinch salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Ingredients for assembly

8-10 small corn tortillas

1/2 cup fresh (washed) cilantro, packed

Avocado slices

Lime wedges

Crema, if desired (see note)
