    1/8 teaspoon fine grain sea salt

    ¾ cup (4.5 ounces) dark chocolate chips

    4 tablespoons unsalted butter , at room temperature

    2/3 cup (4.6 ounces) sugar

    2 large eggs

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Whipped cream , for serving (optional)
