6 Crazy Simple Tips to Have a Productive Morning Every Day
How do your mornings start? Do they start out with you hitting the snooze button and you running around trying to get a quick breakfast made and out the door to work on time? Not everyone is a morning person, but for those of us who want to feel just a little more productive to start our day, there are ways you can do that. This even includes those of us who may not love early morning wakeup calls. Try implementing these tips to have a productive morning each day. It only takes a couple of adjustments to your routine to make a big difference.
#1 Prepare: A huge part of having a productive day is to plan! Now, when I talk about planning, I am not saying that you have to have your entire day planned out, but planning your morning could make a huge difference. The night before, decide what you will have for breakfast and set out the ingredients to make your morning a little less hectic. The same goes for your outfit for the next day. Set your outfit out, so you don’t have to scramble to find something to wear in the morning. Putting a little prep work in the night before can make your morning a lot more productive.
#2 Set Your Daily Goals: Setting goals is an incredibly useful tool in achieving productivity. Wake up 5 minutes earlier to write down just a couple of goals for what you want to achieve during the day. Write them on a post-it note and place them where you will be able to see them all day.
#3 Be Thankful: Writing down 3-5 things you are thankful for first thing in the morning can help set the tone for a productive day. It can also help you feel more positive which can help give you a pep in your step before you head out the door for work or before you get your day started.
#4 Get Moving: Moving your body is one of the best ways to start your day. It can help boost your productivity by releasing endorphins that will keep you going all day long. Try getting a quick morning workout in before your day starts to help you feel better but to also guarantee you get your exercise in for the day.
#5 Make the Bed: This one may sound silly, but the simple act of making your bed right when you wake up is a great way to start the day on the right foot. It will be the first thing you do which will hopefully motivate you to get other things on your to-do list done. It also sets the tone for organization throughout the day.
#6 Get One Thing Done: You know that foot long to-do list we all have each day? A great trick to starting your day off right is to get one thing on that list done. If you can get just one thing done before you start your day, you will be more motivated to get the rest of those things done as well.
Are you ready to have a productive day every day? Start your morning with these simple tips to get more done, be more productive, and boost your mood for the day ahead.
